Preparing the leadership grid activity allowed me to gain valuable insight into my own leadership style. Additionally, working with Ms. Turner allowed me to see my own style much more clearly. During the chapter presentation I learned that I'm more concerned for results, rather than people. I was also able to see the differences between Ms. Turner's syle and my own in that she is more relationship-oriented. I would call Ms. Turner to discuss our presentation, and she always inquire about my well-being and that of my significant other. Ms. Turner and the chapter helped me to realize that I need to focus on relationships more if I am to be an effective leader.
