Compiled Messages Topic: Reflections from the Situational Leadership Approach Date: Tuesday, November 3, 2009 Subject: Situational Leadership Author: Desiree Glover I work in a high school with an administrative team of 3 people, each of whom have very different leadership styles. In terms of Situational Leadership strengths, my school is an exceptional example of leader flexibility in that it reminds leaders that there is not one best style of leadership. The principal is very good at addressing situations with research based practices; The assistant principal is especially good at addressing teacher needs; While the Learning Teaching Specialist's strength lies within being able to address student concerns as they arise. The leadership of the 3 administrators provide a variety of styles that can effectively address the school's needs based upon particular situations.
